Psychiatry Services in London | Khiron Clinics

When Psychiatric Support Might Be the Right Next Step

Many people come to Khiron Clinics after trying standard mental health services without lasting results. They may have received one or more diagnoses, taken prescribed medication, or completed therapy. Yet the core issues remain unresolved.

We believe that is because most approaches focus on managing symptoms, not addressing the root cause. Our work begins by understanding what has happened to you and how those experiences have affected your nervous system, body, and sense of safety.

At Khiron clinics, we see mental health issues as manifestations of unresolved trauma that leads to a dysregulated nervous system.

We Do Not Just Manage Diagnoses. We Help You Heal the Root Cause.

At Khiron Clinics, we do not follow a diagnosis-led model. We focus on resolving the underlying trauma that often drives emotional, psychological, and physical distress.

Instead of asking what is wrong with you, we ask what has shaped your patterns, reactions, and ability to regulate stress. This perspective leads to long-term recovery, not just short-term relief.

Do You Need a Psychiatrist or a Trauma Specialist?

If you are searching for psychiatric care, you may be looking for:

  • A diagnosis to clarify your experience.
  • Medication to stabilise symptoms.
  • A second opinion after past treatments have not worked.
  • A deeper treatment model that goes beyond talking.
  • A more structured setting, such as residential care.

We can help you determine the right level of support. Sometimes a psychiatrist is part of the answer. Other times, people need a full clinical team who understand how trauma affects every part of life. We offer both options.

Nervous System-Informed Psychiatry

When psychiatric care is appropriate, we work with psychiatrists who are trained in trauma and nervous system regulation. These professionals understand attachment, emotional safety, and the connection between trauma and physiological symptoms.

Psychiatric consultations are available as an add-on to our outpatient or residential programmes. They are coordinated with our clinical team to ensure consistency and relevance to your treatment plan.

Our Clinical Model

We use both top-down and bottom-up approaches. This means combining cognitive therapy with body-based methods that help regulate the nervous system.

We help you:

  • Understand the patterns behind your symptoms
  • Feel safer in your body and relationships
  • Build tools to manage stress, emotion, and overwhelm
  • Process unresolved trauma
  • Reconnect with your own sense of agency

Our therapy options include:

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • EMDR
  • Neurofeedback
  • Trauma Informed Stabilisation Technique (TIST)
  • Polyvagal-informed therapy
  • Breathwork, equine therapy, and mindfulness

Each plan is adapted to your history, symptoms, and current level of resilience.
