What Our Clients Have to Say

“The trauma focused approach has helped me understand myself better than any formal psychiatric diagnosis or any specialist NHS therapy I've ever received.“ - Victoria

For those suffering from unresolved trauma, and who live in this very difficult state I highly recommend Khiron Clinics. My therapists were the only ones who were able to get to my core. This after so many years of “regular” therapy.

Dane

I encountered and learnt a therapeutic language which finally explained the symptoms and coping mechanisms that had dominated the majority of my life.

Amanda

Khiron Clinics has given me the resources to help me through life. I’m enormously grateful to the clinic for its extraordinary help and expertise.

What You Will Experience

This is an educational and experiential day that gently introduces key trauma-informed concepts while allowing space for personal reflection at your own pace. Across the day you will be guided through:

A hand draws Venn diagrams labeled "BODY," "MIND," and "SPIRIT" as overlapping circles, exploring concepts like What is Trauma; another diagram features "HUMAN," "MAMMAL," and "REPTILE" with colored text and circles.

Introduction to Trauma & Trauma-Informed Therapy

A grounding overview of how trauma affects the nervous system, emotional responses and sense of safety, creating a clear container for the day.

Movement & Somatic Regulation

An introduction to why body-based approaches are used in trauma work, including guided movement and grounding practices that support regulation and awareness of familiar and unfamiliar nervous system patterns.

Psychoeducation

Accessible teaching on:
• The Window of Tolerance
• Triggers and nervous system activation
• Self-regulation and relational safety
• How these concepts show up in everyday life

Creative & Reflective Practice

Gentle metaphor and creative exercises, such as drawing or reflective writing, to explore personal responses and resources in a contained and supportive way.
A hand holds a pen near two diagrams: one outlines human, mammal, and reptile brain regions; the other is a Venn diagram labeled spirit, body, and mind. Each section is color-coded to help illustrate what trauma impacts in these interconnected areas.

Group Reflection & Q&A

Time to reflect on learning, ask questions anonymously if preferred, and consider practical takeaways.

All participation is invitational. You are free to engage at your own pace, take breaks, or simply observe.
