Living with people experiencing trauma symptoms and mental illnesses can be highly challenging and disorienting. It often leaves family members with feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. They can become overly involved and consumed or isolating and detached, adding complexity to the challenge at hand and feel like they are unable to find a way out.
At Khiron, we understand that family members need adequate support to understand the daily requirements of a functional family system while a family member is attending one of our intensive therapeutic programmes.
To further support our clients and their families, Khiron is now offering The Family Workshop, a three-hour psychoeducation, somatic-oriented and trauma-informed workshop. It is designed to meet family systems needs and to support the reintegration of family members back into the family unit, helping to get to the most out of our client’s progress made in the programme.
